ET244  (The "War Wagon") is a 1999 Pierce Pumper/Tanker
Mounted on a 10" raised roof Lance 2000 chassis.  This well engineered unit is much more agile than its' size would suggest, and can get into places some smaller apparatus find difficult. ET244 has a 1250gpm single - stage  Waterous pump and a 2000 gallon poly - tank.  A 6" front mounted suction provide easy access to both hydrants and water holes. A rear mounted direct tank fill expedites reloading. This unit is powered by a 500hp Detroit Series 60 engine coupled to an Allison automatic transmission.
 
ET244 carries 40 gallons of class A foam with an eductor at the pump panel. This unit is equipped with an 8kw generator, 16" electric vent fan, 2 - 1.75" pre-connects, 2 - 2.5" pre-connects, 1500' of 4" LDH, 500' of 2.5", 35' & 24' extension ladders, 14' roof ladder, 5 SCBA with spare bottles,
Elkhart Stinger deck pipe (convertible), LDH appliances, and assorted forcible entry, and engine company tools. Assorted salvage covers & tarps.
An all Whelen strobe/incandescent lighting package. WS295 electronic and Federal Q2B mechanical  siren provide the warning.  The pumper/tanker is fully equipped for the attack role and is often first out for structural calls during the day. ET244 is first- out for mutual aid calls into non-hydrant areas, or when a tanker response is specified. ET244 also appeared in the Pierce catalog for the Lance product line.
