The Fire Service of Stafford Springs CT will truely miss a wonderful man
and all his dedication to the fire service of Stafford Springs.
Allen was a 40 year member of the Stafford Springs Fire Department
and also a member of West Stafford and Staffordvile Fire Departments.
He responded as a member of the fire police.
Allen you will be truely missed.

CHIEF (Ret.) WILLIAM "WEEP" McQUAID

Chief McQuaid, died September 27, 2007

Chief McQuaid was a Charter Member of the department, and served as Chief from 1952 to 1977.  Chief McQuaid also served as Tolland County Coordinator (HQ2), Board of Directors for Tolland County Mutual Aid, and was a defining force in the Fire Srvice in Northern Connecticut in the 50's, 60's and mid 70's.
